Quotation #1

" What could they do to her, anyway? In three months she’d be a pretty herself."

I choose this quote from the beginning of the book because it think that it represents the mind set of Tally, during the start of the book Even though she has been told to by Peris to stay out of trouble for the next 3 months. It was something that she tried to do, but because of the things that Shay persuaded her to do her life for the next three months was not going the way that she wanted it to.

An example of text to Self would be a day where I was planing a game of hockey and one of my teams player was getting a penalty for body contact and he decided that because there was a small amount of time left in the game he thought "what could he possibly do that could get him in more trouble, why would the referee?" So what he did was started to yell at the referee. And it could get worse as he got kicked out of the game and was also suspended from the next game. In the end concluding that something still can go wrong it doesn't matter how much time is left.

Text to Text.  An example of this would be something that happens in a lot of different books. The main or secondary character will think. How could this get any worse or there is no time left to get in trouble, how could they punish us. And when they think this they go and try to get into trouble.

Text to World. A lot of the time in the regular world things like this will not happen. When something as important as turning pretty. They will not want to take any risks, but because they are so close to making it to what they have been waiting for, for so long they think that they can get away with things, they think that the consequences will go away since they are so close.
