map reflection

I choose to show this map because I think that it helps the reader understand where the characters are moving at the time. I think that this would be helpful because Tally does a lot of moving around into different places and cities. In the beginning of the book Tally is already on the move as she is trying to find her friend Peris who has just moved to New Pretty Town because he has turned 16 and become pretty. Then after this she meets Shay who teaches her how to hoverboard and brings her to the rusty ruins. As her friendship with Shay grows they move to the next place and go to the smoke, however Tally does do this Alone, and this is only because she is forced to by the special circumstances, another place on this map.

There are 5 different places that are shown on this map and they include Uglyville, New Pretty Town, The Rusty Ruins, The Smoke and special circumstances. There is also a forest but this places is not very important as the only thing that really happens there is Tally and "the Boss" trying to escape the specials. Each of the places that are shown in the map are of great importance to the story. Uglyville is the starting place for the story, the place were Shay and Tally developed a friendship. New Pretty Town is the home of Tally's old friend Peris and also the place that the book is based around. The smoke is the reason for the adventure of Tally, without it she simply would have moved to New Pretty Town making for a boring story. The Rusty Ruins is the place where are small group of the smoke reside to after the Special Circumstances destroy the smoke. And finally the special circumstances is the place where Az, Maddy and also Dr. Cable the reason for this long adventure that has caused Tally so much trouble.
